SVS now has a resource world! The only way in is using the Resource World warp sign by the nether portals at spawn, and the only way out is by using the SVS warp sign at the Resource World spawn point. /spawn, /home, and /sethome cannot be used in the Resource World. The new world is 5000x5000 blocks and should have all available ores. Do not build in this world unless you don't care about its loss. The resource world will be reset from time to time based on community feedback. Post below if you have any questions.
Love it...and for those mining, if you would please plan to place torches on the right wall as you dig out...you can got back out by following the torches on your left!
Me and a few others have created a public mine right next to spawn. Please follow my lead and create tunnels 2 blocks apart so we don't miss any ores, and place torches on the right as JK said so you can easily find your way back out. The tunnels are at y 11 so bring a water bucket!
What happens of you get lost in the resource world, and you can't find the way back to the warp sign?
You either die, or find you way back If you go to the Resource world, i suggest bringing a compass. It always points to spawn
I created another public mine that is 3 blocks apart at y=8 and I think its more efficient in terms of mining less blocks.
This resource world is a separate place that you warp to - for the sole purpose of mining. Then you take your treasures back home to the regular svs world.
Yes, when the Admins feel it's time, the resource world will be reset. No builds will be save, no notice is assured, but you should get warning to exit he world. Also, miners, we know that mobs will spawn, but please try to keep them down with good lighting habits. Has anyone noticed is any placed blocks are protected? Finally, for those lost: JK Recovery Specialists will save you**, for just 50% of the gold/diamonds/iron/coal/emeralds you have on you at the time of rescue. Then you miss the middle block of the three. When tunnels have 2 blocks between them, you see each wall from the other tunnel. That method ensures that you miss no ores.
