Hi, I want to receive an alert in my mailbox when i have new messages on my posts etc. Is this possible? I couldnt find a the option yet. Thanks for reply.
When people quote a message like this: You should receive an alert. You can go to "Alert Preferences" and mess around with that if you want, say, alerts when people quote a post but not when people like a post. If you make a thread and you want messages in it that may or may not quote your message to get an alert, go to the top right corner and press "Watch thread". Then, any messages posted will give you an alert!
Mmm all alerts are on but I don't get any in my Gmail box. Only when I go to the website I see the alerts. Thanks for replying!
Unfortunately, I don't believe you can receive email notifcations for alerts. However, when you watch a thread you can do it with Email notification.
At the top of each thread there is a link labeled "Watch Thread." Click that, and on the pop up, click the option "with email notifications." Then click the "Watch Thread" button. Then you should get emails any time there is a new post to that thread.
