My 8 yr old son & I are just getting started in semi vanilla. We've played easy survival to get a feel for things first and I understand some of the basics about land claims. So I have a couple questions about this now: 1. How do you get a golden shovel? Do you have to mine gold and craft it? We don't have any money to buy them and haven't found any yet by mining...But by now we have put a lot of work in just to get a shelter and an area to mine, & don't want to lose our hard work if someone else comes along. 2. I am mining in an area that says no one has claimed it, and bumped into an abandoned mine shaft. Is it fair game to mine in there? I can't tell yet if that's ok so for now we are just leaving it alone...what's the rule here? Thanks for any help you guys can provide.
1. You have to craft it yourself or purchase one. Alternatively, there are lots of players that would be happy to lend you a shovel so you can claim as long as you return it. 2. If it's not claimed, feel free to mine and loot that area. If you have other questions let us know!
@x_triangle I recommend that you look through the first threads in the Semi-Vanilla Survival forum. https://www.sandlotminecraft.com/forums/semi-vanilla-survival.7/ The thread below talks about claiming and other important information. https://www.sandlotminecraft.com/th...-guide-spawn-tour-claiming-shop-chests.29519/
