    Hi Guys,

These past few days I've been experiencing lots of crashes where I can only log in for like 1-2 mins.

    I've tried the following:
    • Restarting mc (restarting my computer won't do anything)
    • Using the direct IP

I do use Optifine (mod) and a texture pack, but before I was using Optifine and a texture pack and I wouldn't crash so often.

Any suggestions, ideas are welcome. :)

Hmm... first of all I'd check your fps. They're usually around 40-50 ish, but if they're unusually high or low you may be experiencing client lag. Also, your computer may need an update. I'm not a pro at computing but perhaps your game is slower because your PC needs updating. And perhaps try reinstalling Minecraft?
Hope this helped, kind regards, :D

My fps is always lower then 10 and almost never experience a LOT of lag unless I'm in a super laggy area.

I'm not a pro at this type of stuff, so I have some questions:

I installed the new minecraft launcher awhile ago, is that what you mean?

    Will reinstalling minecraft cost money?

    Thanks for the help :)

No, it should not cost money if you have an account, I've done this multiple times. Also, if you do reinstall, make backups of all your worlds, just quote this if you don't know how.

Are you on Windows? I forgot to say that's the only system I know how to do it on.

Okay, *if you have permission* click on the Start button, and in the box labeled "Search programs and files," type %appdata%, a folder titled "Roaming" should show up. Open that folder and find the folder ".minecraft," and open it. Here, you will find the folder "Saves". Copy and paste this onto your desktop. And ta-da! You're done!

Press Windows Key and Pause. See how much system memory you have and report back.

When you open the launcher, check you've signed in properly and selected the right profile. Try clicking 'play' again, sometimes restarting the launcher helps. It may be because you've just reinstalled it. Hope this helped ;)

Okay, let's just start from the top. Answer these questions.

    1. Do you have any mods installed on any of your worlds or profiles other than optifine?
    2. Do you have any resource packs?
    3. Do you have admin privileges on Windows 7, or do your parents have to put in a password for software updates?

    1. No
    2. Yes
    3. I don't understand this question

Okay, next question--how do you start Minecraft? Do you have a shortcut on the desktop or taskbar or what?

I use the magic launcher (idk if that's what you mean)
    Minecraft is on my taskbar
