Help! I can't login to the server.

Try logging in with a direct connection to the IP address. 142.4.217.143

Then, go to a safe place and log out. This is important... if you are using the IP and get a corrupted log-in place, you will not get back onto The Sandlot.

Log back in the proper way with the sandlot address. server.sandlotminecraft.com

 

Go to your Multiplayer server list and click 'Direct Connect'
Then, use the direct IP for Sandlot: 142.4.217.143

It is recommended you only use this if the regular server IP address does not work for you.

 

Here is my understanding of what could go wrong.

Let's say you log off in Arenas, when you were logged in with the preferred address: server.sandlotminecraft.com. If the Arenas server goes down hard, you will not be able to log on using that address, because that server is not operational. It cannot connect you to a crashed server. (Always log off in the lobby.)

So, your back up plan is to connect with the IP address. It should get you to the lobby. You get onto The Sandlot, play, and log off in Parkour. Then both Parkour and Arenas are down hard. Now, you have no alternate way to get onto The Sandlot until one or both of those servers are restored.

That is why, using the IP address should only be used for problems with the regular address.

Most importantly, always log off from the lobby!

Have you restarted your Minecraft client yet? Sometimes that can fix certain problems.

Restarting your router may help, too. Just be sure to ask your parents for permission to do so.
