Problem with my minecraft account

    For the last few hours I can't get onto minecraft at all, the message I keep getting is this:
    Sorry but we couldn't connect to our servers. Please make sure you are online and that minecraft is not blocked. (SocketTimeOut Exception: connect timed out)
    Well, I am online and minecraft is not blocked, it was working fine until today. And this is not just on my pc, I can't sign in on thunder's computer either ( I get the same message when I try even though he can log on no problem and is playing right now) :confused: So there's something wrong with my minecraft account maybe.
    We restarted the game a lot of times, checked the anti virus and we even reinstalled minecraft but nothing has worked. Oh and I changed my password too. Anyone any ideas how to fix it?

    I have no idea, maybe you could look it up on mojang?

    Did you restart your machine?
    Also, mojang could be blocked.

    Yea restarting didn't fix it and as far as I can tell mojang isn't blocked. I can log into my account on the mojang website :confused:

    It sounds like a firewall issue, or an issue with your Internet Service Provider. I would first check your Windows Firewall config and see if you have any entries for Java. If so, and you don't use Java for anything else on your computer, I'd just remove those entries and restart Minecraft. Then it should prompt you to allow access to the internet for Java again.

    Hi biz I hope so! We have been having some problems with our internet connection and I think that was the issue. But we've been away for a few days, I'm back now and it seems to be working, Yay ;D
