Yeah, this is different. You can login using your same username/password from the old forums. There's been a lot of suggestions and requests in the past on things you would like to see on our website. I've tried to incorporate as many of those as possible in this new format. Almost everything you are used to having is here somewhere, plus lots and lots of new features. Major Changes The website is no longer accepting registrations for users under the age of 13. If you are under that age and already registered, nothing will change - you are fine. However, all new users under the age of 13 must be registered by an adult. All of the old forums are archived. This means that while they are still available (that information is not lost), they can no longer be replied to or edited. All new posts must be made in the new forums that have been created. Some of the rules have been updated. You should read them. There's a super cool server status indicator over there showing all of the online players. You may need to forcefully update your avatar by mousing over your username in the top right and clicking on "Avatar" There will likely be lots of "bugs" for me to sort out in the next few days, but once everything is sorted out, this stands to be a much more powerful, useful, and community-driven website for our server.
I absolutely love the new website. So much more personal and free than the old one. Great work Cheracc! One thing I noticed, however, is that the page that lists the staff (the one that had the little bobbleheads on it) doesn't show any pictures. They're all little icons that show up when pictures don't load. Hopefully this is just my computer and not a real bug.
thats happening to me too though its not exactly a major problem, and may be caused by the new helpers
Same for me, so I take it the pictures were uploaded wrong. The new helpers need to be uploaded too ^^
Does this mean they cannot use the forums or a parent must merely make their account? My brother has wanted to join the forums for a while and has just decided he wanted to do so today.
If they are under 13, a parent needs to create the account. After the parent does this, the child can use it to read and post on the forums. If you are over 13, you aren't legally required to get your parent's permission, though it would still be a good idea to do so.
Here, maybe this will help: When you are in the launcher, look down in the left hand corner. You should see a button called "New Profile". Click that. Once you have done that, a window will pop up. Go down and where it says "Use Version". Click the dropdown box and scroll up, and click "release 1.8". Once you have done that, go down in the right hand corner and click "Save Profile." Once you have done that, it should work. Thanks!
