If you are new or confused about something, hopefully I can help here! The Rules: I know you can look at the rules on the main pages, but what would a guide be without rules? First, the Sandlot is a family-friendly server as most of you should know. So that means no swearing, no being abusive or degrading in chat, no talking about things that you wouldn't (or shouldn't) talk about in public, and no links or YouTube channel names in chat, nobody can be certain if there is bad content on those channels. Two, as everyone should know, no greifing (except for in factions), or raiding people's houses, especially in the Survival worlds. If you didn't make it, don't mess with it. And also, just be courteous, don't build too close to someone else. Three, of course, no cheating or hacking. Now you know the basic rules of the Sandlot server, now you need to know who enforces the rules. The Staff: The staff are the people who enforce rules, and keep the server running. There are 2.5 levels of staff, Owner, Admin/Moderator, and Helper. Cheracc is the owner and in chat his name will show up red. Groogaroo, OisinsVids, blokjekopf, Rioghan, kissmydiamonds, hamsrus1, and c0wg0d are the Admins and their names will show up green in chat. The helpers will be on more often than the others and they are the "1st line of defense" for the server. They are Abbz05, Albinia, Drzzter, Bray183, SnoopyBanna, Elisa2019, WynterrX, weegee2012, ljl23, Hoverflier, ArmorBoy99, and Cherries_02. This list is from the About the Sandlot page, so if you are a helper and not on the list, please let me know. The staff is there to make sure everybody is obeying the rules and respecting the server. The Maps: Sandlot has 9 total maps (Factions, Survival, Easy Survival, Hunger Games, Arenas, Skyblock, Creative, Parkour, and the Lobby) that you can play on. __________________________________________________________________________ Factions: Factions is a game mode in which you join a faction and PVP against enemy factions to decrease their power level. Faction Shops: The spawn area in factions has a bunch of buildings in which you can spend tokens, the maps currency, to buy armor, weapons, tools, potions, and other things to help you along. Join a Faction/Faction Commands: To join a faction that is an open faction (doesn't need an invitation), you simply type /f join <faction name> and you will be in the faction. To get to your faction's base, you should type /f home and wait 5 seconds to be teleported to your faction's base. At first you won't be able to break blocks or open chests and doors until an officer or leader of your faction promotes you to be a member of your faction. If you ever want to get back to spawn, simply type /spawn to be teleported. WARNING: You can only do this once every ten minutes. To leave a faction, type /f leave. Creating a Faction: Every hour, you can type /tokens to get ten tokens. To make a faction, you must aqquire 200 tokens and type /f create <faction name> to create your faction. You will be the leader of the faction and have to claim land to have a base. I will not get into this or the guide would take years to read. __________________________________________________________________________ Normal Survival: The survival world is basically just that, survival. To set a home, you will need to find an unclaimed area and type /set home then, you will be able to type /home to be teleported there. Horses in Survival: In Normal Survival, horses have different commands. To see the list of commands, type /horse. This will help you register and manage horses. Shops: To create a shop, you need a chest and type the needed information, I will figure out how to do this and post it here. Currency and Ranks: In the Normal Survival world, gold nuggets, ingots and blocks are used as currency. To turn gold into money, go to the bank at spawn and find the sign to sell the gold. Ranks are displayed next to your name in the chat. To rank up, in the spawn house, go up to the signs and see the requirements for the next rank up, this will include money, items, and experience. Claiming Land: To claim land, you will need to make a golden shovel and right click on one corner of your area, then again on the other, this will create a plot of land in which you can build protected structures. __________________________________________________________________________ Easy Survival: Unfortunately, I have never played in Easy Survival so I do not have any information. If anyone wants to, you can create your own guide to Easy and send it to me or post it for yourself. __________________________________________________________________________ Hunger Games: In the Hunger Games, you are PVPing in a fast paced, one versus one style of combat. Kits: In the Hunger Games, you will start with certain kits such as Kitty or Ghost. But you can buy kits for 100 tokens each. Tokens: Coming in first, second, third, and fourth place will earn you tokens as follows. 1st: 15 tokens 2nd: 10 tokens 3rd: 5 tokens 4th: 1 token Tokens can be used to buy kits or food in weapons in the shop. The Shop: By typing /shop, you will we an interface where you can buy swords, steak, and armor. By putting your mouse over an item, it will show you how much the item costs. You can see how many tokens you have using /bal. __________________________________________________________________________ Arenas: In the PVP Arenas, you can play Spleef, where you try to dig each other into lava, Capture The Flag, pretty self explanatory, and Paintball, which I have never played. __________________________________________________________________________ Skyblock: Skyblock is a gamemode where you are on an island with limited resources and have to complete missions and use creativity to get items. __________________________________________________________________________ Creative: In creative, type /plotme auto, and get building. Type /plot to see a list of commands. __________________________________________________________________________ Parkour: In Parkour, you jump. You jump to get rewards such as iron to craft items. Its pretty simple. __________________________________________________________________________ The Lobby: Currently, the Lobby has a Harry Potter theme in which killing spiders will get you bronze knuts that you can use to buy new wands.
