When I log in using IP address, I am stuck in the lounge. When logging in with regular address, I Am ok. Not sure why it is treating me as two players??? Might be hold over from when Trubs was trying to help me with lag crashing last night... How to fix this?
Simple fix to this would be to ask a Moderator to TP you out. I don't think there's much else you can do other than that.
My understanding is that IP address is supposed to always put you in the lobby regardless of what server you are in, although my meory or understanding could have failed. As kyu said, only way out is a mod getting it done. If you're not in trouble, you'll be fine
Logging into each IP logs you in wherever you were when you last used that IP. It can be used in this way as a last resort if you happen to be trapped in a block or something similar, so you can continue to play and get help with the other IP without suffocating to death. Say you used the server.sandlotminecraft.com or whatever it is, you logged off in Easy, then used the other one. You should then log on wherever you used the other one last. Or at least that's how it used to work, I suppose c0w might of changed it. I'm assuming trubuhl sent you there to either joke around or save you from lag, in either of those cases you're fine. If you're concerned about one of the IPs being stuck somewhere like Jail or the Lounge, just ask a moderator to teleport you out.
Thanks all. That makes sense. Trubs did put me in the Lounge because of lag. What puzzles me is that I have two entities..one I lounge and one in regular SVS now... They were always one and the same no matter which address I logged in under...just wanted to make sure it wasn't a problem or to know if this was the fix for my lag.
The same thing happens to me, when I have bad internet, only the number address loads and it puts me in a different spot then if I normally log on. It's not just you.
So did you get this fixed by a mod @bobandbunny ? Funny thing was, my internet was fine in general and I could log onto other non-sandlot MC servers and play with no lag at all... So if it was Internet, it was the specific path for me to sandlot...
So both log ins put you in same place... It has always been two paths to exact same place to where I logged out last ... Did not matter from which address.
For me it was always like this. I don't think there is a way to change it unless you go to the same world from each IP every time you log out. lets say you log out in your house in easy with the number IP, and you log out in skyblock with the letter IP. If you log back into the game with the letter IP, and are in skyblock, when you go to easy you will still be in your house even though you logged in with the other IP. I don't think that it is that much of a problem just because none of your progress is lost or anything but I do understand why it could be annoying.
I will say that I have lag on sandlot on a great internet connection when I'm great on other servers and other games. So something's up.
I have gotten in the habit of always returning to the lobby before I log out. I suggest you all do the same. It's not required, but it does cut down on issues with logging in to The Sandlot.
