Semi-Vanilla Survival Reset: September 3rd

I'll be willing to help with spawn. And maybe before it's built, we can have a brainstorming session before? To figure out what built style, etc?

Actually I'm getting kinda excited over the reset, and the date couldn't be more convenient for me. I can't wait to start on a new SVS world alongside all of Sandlot even with the small amount of spare time I will have for it!

 

This will be great for the server.

It has been said multiple times already.... only staff members will be building. If it is not complete before September 3rd, then other players can help gather materials, but the people building will remain the same

 

I think a reset on ALL servers would be great... although I know it would be tough on UHC, seeing how much hard-work has gone into some of the walk-way systems that have already been created. However, I do have a suggestion!

It would be cool if a reset was scheduled from the very beginning, and you created some "achievements" to possibly start off the next reset with some additional resources. We can have a whole "award ceremony" where players who have done great achievements in previous resets can be recognized. Here are some examples

Monuments - For players who have done an exceptional task on the server, a statue monument well be erected somewhere on the server (this can be something fun to work on as a separate activity, maybe a monument building competition).

Crop Master - a reward to a player for having completed an achievement can be starting with a single random crop (carrot, potato, etc.).

Golden Shovel - as a reward, player has advantage of starting with a shovel to claim territory

Epic Armor - As a reward, player can start with a piece or a set of some sweet diamond armor

This reset will be very exciting! Just a tip; Mine in the mesa, it's basically a gold flood buried underground!
I might actually make progress in this world and might not be the underdog like I am now (well, I use diamond tools but only have 'Adept' so...)
One question, what time will this happen? I'm at home on that day and I'd like to claim land near spawn before it's all taken

The new SVS is well underway...for those who like information, some clues will be found in the coming weeks in the sticky thread "SVS - A New Beginning".

 

@Monkey_Chicka I think region posts have some use, but from a server perspective it is one more plugin to maintain and potentially debug. It also decreases the value of the VIP perk, which allows the multiple set homes. I think Easy would be the place region posts, SVS would be warps and set home and hardcore is nothing but your two feet (or a horse) for travel.
on the other hand, sure makes travel easier

 

Any thoughts about the actual time of day that you will be opening the gates? Depending on the time, I may need to try to be off work on either the 3rd, or the 2nd.
