    I've been inactive for around a month and I have also changed my name. I previously had VIP and I'm guessing it expired. If I buy the renewal, will my VIP come back or will it not recognize that I made the first payment due to the name change?

    The name change should not affect your VIP status. You should still be able to renew your VIP for $5.95.
