Skyblock will be closing May 27th with a grand reopening on May 29th!

OK so the other mods seem to be trying to keep the details from me so they're being very quiet but I was able to sneak close enough to partially hear/mishear some things, I'm sorry I didn't get it exactly:

• Aquarian, Exploder, Barber, Mezzanine Nation, The Tick? (Some kind of system or something)
• Slytherin Hyena? (me neither but it sounds cool - a new mob maybe).
• Lots of stuff about having Weather Eye Bands (they like weather? I dunno)
• Handsome Need Ya?? Then you get attacked? (this makes no sense but they seemed worried)
• Chunky Microbes (sounds kind of gross doesn't it, but they were very excited about this).
• Something about "normal" things can happen now on Skyblock that couldn't before.
• Money, blocks, buying stuff, blah blah blah the troll is not interested.
• I did hear something about explosions. That sounds promising at least.
• Oh there was a lot of talk about revamping challenges and testing but it sounded boring.
• Finally, I heard there were llamas wandering around, and that they would "make an example of them".

I don't know how much more I can find out without being caught. This may be my last report.

Anyone figure out any of what's going on at all? I'm too tired to decipher the meanings of the words and screenshots.

 

I can neither confirm nor deny that you are correct.

 

I think that was probably just the new mods fighting over who had to wash your socks.

It certainly sounds like it, doesn't it!

 

I heard many more things about the new Skyblock today, though I'm not sure which are fact and which are fiction, or a mix of both, because the Skyblock Implementation Mods (SIMS) (I'm not one) are clearly starting to feed me false information to obfuscate the truth. But here they are:

1. Skyblock islands will randomly change positions so one day you can be next to c0wg0d's castle, but the next day you're stuck near an elder jungle troll with vines everywhere instead.
2. Ghasts can spawn and destroy your neighbor's island forests, any wooden structures, etc. Yes, you can "win" Skyblock by destroying your neighbors!
3. The mods don't believe in trusting anyone, so they made it so you can't trust anyone either. Players can only do stuff on the island they belong to. TRUST NO ONE.
4. You can request to be near another player and the mods might do it. They roll twenty sided dice and if you get a 15 or higher you get to be where you want, but if not then they move you at least 20 islands away from where you wanted. Do you feel lucky?
5. Every player will start out with one elytra to use to fly around so they can pick the island they want. But if the elytra breaks you fall OUT of skyblock and can never play again.
6. The mods decided that it would be easier if they just made a Resource World for Skyblock where everyone could just go get whatever they wanted instead of having to do all the challenges. But the challenges are still there if you want them!
7. The mods made a special island in advance for themselves that has every auto farm and machine ever made so they can get way ahead of everyone else. But YOU can't use it. Unless you are a wandering llama.
8. Once a month a random island will be chosen to be reset back to the starter island. No appeals.
9. LifeLearner and waseric have volunteered to be your own personal Skyblock Helpers. Just ask them and they'll come personally assist with all your questions, problems, arguments, and any other needs.
10. All the mods except trubuhl have agreed NOT to play Skyblock for the first month after the release because they want to give regular players a head start.
11. There is a new Roleplay feature in Skyblock that allows you to choose both your name AND your skin from a huge selection. As you complete challenges you unlock new skins and additional Roleplay locations (schools, restaurants, dungeons, woods, you name it). To get started just start doing roleplay in the regular Skyblock chat and if you say at least 500 RP lines in one day you will unlock the first level.
12. PVP is enabled on Skyblock this round. This was a specific request from @GruffsMom_. It's like Skywars except you can build your own battleground!
13. In this Skyblock, Village Raids will occur every hour starting the moment you have your first villager. The raiders can spawn anywhere on your island, including on half slabs and any place else there is a block to stand on.
14. Witches will have the ability to cast magic spells that can: destroy one item from your inventory; steal your cats; remove all diamonds, ore, blocks, and items from your island; or give you a puppy.
15. Helpers will not be allowed to have islands on Skyblock, they can only help other players and cheer them on from the sidelines.
