Hard Teams Opens Saturday 7/1 at 12pm EST

I spoke with Bells and she hopes to play!

 

Bells told me she was going to play and that's why I added her.

 

It's nice to have a Wild Card! Someone might need a cozy place once Hard server starts.

 

Our volunteer admins are very busy this week in real life, so it will depend on how soon they can have enough free time to reset the Hard server with the desired settings. So we don't know exactly. Still, the hope is to have it done by July 1.

 

My advice for teams is to just have fun. You don't have to race through all the achievements as fast as possible, there is plenty of time in the month. Build things together! Go out and have adventures together in the world! Raid an ocean monument, invade a woodland mansion, tackle a blaze spawner, or just explore the world. This is a great and somewhat rare opportunity to do fun things in game together with your teammates! And Hard is set up so that many challenges will just happen if you go out and do lots of different things - all you have to do is play and have fun with everyone.

It's ok Fan, they aren't contradictory. You can compete AND have fun. There's enough time in the month that with players banding together in teams you can do plenty of achievements without having to rush it. In fact historically it's slow and steady who wins this race. Those who quit before the month is over usually don't win. Plenty of time for fun!

 

Reminder: if you find that your friends are on a different team and you want to join them it's no problem for you to change teams, especially here before we get started.

 

With the growth of the teams, I'd like to remind all players that all our normal rules and methods on the Sandlot apply on Hard. Specifically you should claim things that you want to be safe from others. Shared team places may not be safe for your own personal build or your stuff. To avoid conflicts I recommend everyone storing things they don't want to share in their own personal claim. You can go ahead and share anything you like, but that will be your choice.

Also, do not set traps for other players, do not send mobs to destroy their things, do not sabotage other players or teams, and generally behave no differently than on Easy or Hard. This is a friendly competition not a PVP zone, and again all our normal rules still apply here.

One last comment: do not destroy or otherwise block rare things in order to prevent other teams from using them. We aren't trying to BLOCK each others teams, we are just all trying to get the achievements we can. For example, do not destroy any mob spawners (silverfish for example). We're all friends here. You MAY claim regular mob spawners for your team (skeleton, zombie, spider, cave spider).

Team Leads please help clarify this to any players who might need it in game.
