Hard Teams Opens Saturday 7/1 at 12pm EST

I believe each team should be able to find their own blaze spawner and claim it for their team exclusively. But only one should be claimed per team until each team has one secured. If it turns out there aren't multiple blaze spawners around then yes we might need to share (highly unlikely).

Solo individuals (not on a team) should request to use one from one of the teams if needed at least unless there are extras out there (probably will be) after the four teams have one each.

I think he's the only known player planning to just play solo. If he reconsidered I know a lot of teams would be boosted by him joining them!

 

Yes they can just ask anyone to post here for them. They just can't join Team Headache!

 

The Hard reset is only possible with blocks of time unpredictably squeezed out of a demanding work schedule informed by teammembers in India, the US, Australia, and Europe, family time for a long-suffering and very accommodating family, and the occasional need to sleep.

Unfortunately, days and general time estimates are the best I can offer. I know it can be frustrating, and I apologize. I would absolutely prefer to offer precision. However, it's more important to me that I be able to deliver those few things to which I commit.

If I can get stars to align, there's a good chance it opens tonight. The Sandlot and server is in US/Eastern time, so I speak in US/Eastern time (currently UTC-4). Failing that, I am confident I can deliver Saturday morning.

I cannot emphasize enough the importance of all the preparation work that trubuhl has done, for which we should all be grateful. It allows me to focus on specific deliverables.

Please give a huge thanks to @waseric, aka the hidden hand, for doing all he does for the Sandlot. His technical efforts have been absolutely crucial for the Sandlot for quite some time now. In short, if you play on the Sandlot, he deserves your thanks. And your patience

 

I have been targeting, “as soon as possible.” I wouldn’t be opposed to withholding opening until, say 12pm ET on Saturday.

trubuhl, I’ll take your lead in that regard .

 

For this month it would be OK to have a set start time of 12pm ET on Saturday, subject to the possibility of delay.

I don't intend that we do a set start time every month. I think normally it's fine to have it open whenever it opens. Since this particular reset we have leaders, coordination, and claims to deal with, a specified start time is probably good.

@_Humory_ will be bummed that we don't get to play tonight though

 

I have more time later tonight than I do tomorrow morning. Free time when everyone else in my house is sleeping but I am good with whatever time makes sense for the most people. I don’t think we have to have a racing start per se, we’ve got a whole month ahead so anytime is good.

 

Hi Kavanah, I know where you're coming from! I think it will fluctuate in difficulty from month to month. This month it seemed nice to have a big, inclusive team round that everyone can participate in and have fun with school being out for summer and such. I imagine next month will probably trend toward the more difficult side. For now it'll be interesting to see what kind of bigger things get built with the teamwork, and how high the team scores will go!

 

I personally prefer a set day and time to start (that being the earliest time if there are delays) but I defer to you as you are the super star volunteers putting this altogether, @waseric and @trubuhl . 12 pm Eastern Saturday sounds great. Thank you!
