My son recently started playing Minecraft (on an iPad) without being logged into a Microsoft account. We applied and got whitelisted for the Sandlot, but when we tried to get access the Sandlot server, we were required to log in to a Microsoft account, which then required us to create a different Minecraft user name than what he had been playing under and what was approved for The Sandlot. Is there a way we can update his Minecraft name without needing to apply to get white listed again under a new email address? Thanks! Newbie Mom
Welcome to the Sandlot! Minecraft does not make it simple. It can be very confusing. We can rename your forums account to match the correct Minecraft name. Is the correct account name by chance, "EarthMan2023"?

That's right, yes. You should now be all set to connect to Sandlot as EarthMan2023. One additional item that has proven confusing is that you will see a "." (period/fullstop) prefix when in game (in chat, in user lists, etc...). This is expected. It is added by the software we use that allows Minecraft (Bedrock) users to connect to our Minecraft Java Edition server. It doesn't change your username anywhere outside the Sandlot.
