The Sandlot is currently using a protocol update which allows both 1.7 and 1.8 clients to connect to the server. THIS IS NOT A FULL 1.8 SERVER AT THIS POINT. YOU CANNOT FIND BUNNIES OR ANY NEW 1.8 STUFF. This update simply allows you to connect to the server using a 1.8 client. None of the new stuff is available for multiplayer servers at this point. If you notice bugs or other issues, please post them in the Bug and Grief Reports Forums. Known Issues: HG3 and HG4 are currently down until required plugins are available. Additional Information: There is some drama going on between a former Bukkit developer, Mojang, the Bukkit project, and Spigot. Currently, all development on craftbukkit is stopped. No progress is being made towards a 1.8 build (that we know of, anyway). Plugins cannot be updated because the code is no longer available to hook into. It's all a right big mess. We may be stuck with what we have for some time until this all gets sorted out.
I'm not sure if this was supposed to happen but it seems that some of the features from 1.8 are occurring in easy survival such as the enchanting and the beacons changing colors when colored stained glass was placed on a beacon. The new items in 1.8 are not craft able. -Bobandbunny
Looks like this update includes the no more string to obsidian patch. Zombie aggro (player vs villager?) seems to have changed, too
Happy that 1.8 is out. I have already tired it on Sandlot and found double doors to be glitched out in Factions. Also I had a crash just now as soon as I opened my ender chest. I was hoping to run 1.8 because they have indicated improvements client side on performance. Maybe no more super lag for me in the future? - Razz
some really weird stuff is hapening first, in easy I get from 0 to lv 60 when I break one stone, im a miner. 2nd also in easy I cant repair items but, it still takes up xp.
Alright... I would love if there were a command block world for all of the 1.8 features, but i also would vote against it because most people would mess up the server in some way, or cause major lag with /summon Rabbit ~ ~1 ~
Since its a PROTOCOL VERSION, pay attention to the big capital letters at the top of the page :lol: You were playing on 1.8 and that bug occurs when the server is not updated to your client, i suggest using 1.7.10 for now since you can still get on sandlot with it.
