My boy, Ben 5 really wants people to chat with whilst playing, is this possible on the PC version? Jenny
You cannot play The Sandlot on the PC version, The Sandlot does to MineChat....but I really don't know anything about it.
If he means voicechat, then that would require 3rd party software and other people's usernames from that software, which you're not allowed to share, according to rule 3 of Sandlot. click to expand btw.
Jenny, the Sandlot is an excellently moderated Minecraft playground that you son can play on with very little fear. Voice chat cannot be moderated like typed chat. If you spell a "bad" word, you will be kicked and banned. Given that concern, you should be around your son playing, and assist him with typing chat. It will develop dexterity and typing skills, plus enhancing reading and comprehension skills. You'll need to be there to guide him and make sure he doesn't fall into one of the common traps, though. Younger players can get frustrated and express it via a mashed keyboard response...this often will result in a jumble of letters, within which may be the framework of a banned word. This will result in an auto-kick and ban for language. Older children can play under more general supervison on the Sandlot, as the moderation and community support ensures a safe environment. He's going to love it here, but beware of ANY system that uses voice chat. If you haven't played a XBox Live or Playstation Network game with audio chat, you might be shocked at the level of profanity and abuse. It's an experience hearing some of the foul trash talking from what sounds like an 8 year-old. Welcome, JackenKracken
