Hello, I filled out an application yesterday for my 3 sons who play mincraft. My application was accepted and I am a member and I was also able to play on the server last night, but having had the kids screaming at me today they are either receiving an invalid session error or when they join the server they are kicked off the server says that they do not have permission to perform this command. you have been kicked from all channels you need to be listening on at least one channel, setting you into the default channel ??? what does this all mean. We have 2 laptops which are sharing the same Mojang account but this is the first time I have tried to let the kids play on line so I am a bit green at all this. So Far I have only tried to play on line with one of the laptops but will they be able to log in on both machines even though they only have one minecraft account which is. Reading on the forums I also fell into the trap yesterday of not using their IGN for the whitelist application and instead used my usual IGN of autobahn. Is is possible to merge the accounts or if not can you delete autobahn and change it to ejtwin. Sorry for all the questions. Ive made a bit of a hash of it all so far but I hope someone can help me sort it all out. Any advice much appreciated Thanks Andy
Hi @ejtwin ! Sorry to hear of your difficulties. If you have whitelisted one Minecraft account, then only one player may play at a time using that account on the server. You will need 2 Minecraft accounts, each registered on The Sandlot, to use both laptops at the same time. The channel messages relate to our new chat system, which we are still improving. The default channel is the chat for the server in which the player is playing (Creative, Easy, etc). Each channel has a letter (C for Creative, L for Lobby, etc.) Our chat system permits players to listen to other servers. So you could play in Creative and listen to Lobby chat if you wanted. When players change servers, they are often still seeing the chat from the last server. So when you go to Creative, maybe you still see Lobby chat. To get rid of this unwanted chat, use the command /leave Server and in place of Server use the server name that you do not want to see. You must listen to at least one chat channel. Thanks Lifelearner, this is when I realise Im getting old! I will delete the autobahn account if I can because I cannot use my usual email address on the ejtwin account but its a shame I will probably have to pay for another Mojang account so the boys can play online together. How do they change the chat channel? Thanks Andy
to change the channel type /channel (svs easy skyblock hardcore creative parkour hg1 hg2 etc. whichever your on) to leave a channel type /channel leave (channel) if you have any further questions dont be shy! edit: /channel doesnt seem to be working right now, when you join a server. you will always get chat from that channel unless you leave the channel.
