Minecraft 1.19.2 comes with some changes that can affect your chat and game experience. On the Sandlot, the most noticeable of these will be when you are using Minecraft 1.19.2 and connect to a Sandlot server that is also running 1.19.2. When does it happen? When you are running Minecraft 1.19.2, and you are connecting to a Sandlot server running 1.19.2, you will see these messages. What do I need to do? Nothing. Please ignore it. What does it mean? This means that messages you send or receive in chat cannot be reported to Mojang / Microsoft. The ability to report offensive messages to Mojang is new in 1.19.2. It requires both a compatible server AND client to support this feature. Although Sandlot supports the requirement to be able to moderate player chat, our server configuration is not currently compatible with Mojang's new system. Except for this message, there is no difference from older versions in how chat messages are handled between you, the Sandlot, and other users. Are there any workarounds? When you use a client less than 1.19.2 or connect to a server running less than 1.19.2, you will not see this message. Sandlot does not recommend this as a workaround - we strive to support the latest versions of Minecraft, and recommend you use the latest version supported.

This is a setting in your Minecraft client. Try to enable chat: <esc> key to go to Game Menu -> Options -> Chat Settings -> Chat: <change to Shown> What does it mean? Your Minecraft client has been set to only allow commands in chat. You (or your parents) should be able to change it. Are there any workarounds? A player can still send private messages Change chat settings on your Minecraft to allow chat (see above)

The funny thing is I could have used this 9 years ago when I joined Sandlot and had the chat Hidden on Chat Settings and didn't know how to change it back to Shown I started playing Minecraft earlier that same year
