My son started playing on The Sandlot about 4 days ago and has been enjoying the experience so far but neither of us can figure out how to chat. No matter what we do we get permission denied. Ive checked my client settings and everything seems to be ok so my only guess is that its user permissions on the server? Thanks
Some sandlot admin/mods see inappropriate chat and ban it from certain players for a certain amount of time. Or they can even ban the chat from a part of the server for a certain amount of time aswell. To type, press "T" then type your message and click "Enter" If this doesnt work I suggest getting an admin or moderator. Preferably c0wg0d because he is the only one I know who works on those things.
Just to double check, make sure your chat setting is set on Shown. ESC>Multiplayer Settings>Chat>Shown If it is on shown, and you still can not chat, try what Drzzter said, use /s and then type your message. If that does not work, you could be possibly muted, which I don't believe is the case.
Thanks for the quick responses. Weve tried every form of /t /tell /s /say etc... nothing works and it all says permission denied. This has also been the case since the moment we logged on for the first time so its nothing weve done. Ill work on contacting c0wg0d to see whats up. Thanks
brkmrtn, your not supposed to add a message to /s.. your just supposed to type /s without anything else.. THEN, chat
