My son and I finally found some land to claim, and then we realized that there was a small structure already on it. Not a complete house or anything, just one small wall made of a mix of dirt and wood, and a chest with nothing in it. The chest wasn't protected.

Now that we claimed the land, and then found the small structure, we realize that we are unable to remove the blocks that had been placed there. My questions.

    1. Was it rude of us to claim this land given that someone had started something there?
    2. If it was okay of us to claim the land, is there a way for us to remove the blocks left behind by another player?
    3. If we placed a chest within our claim, will it be protected?

Thanks! Getting the hang of things...slowly! :)

    1. Not rude at all. The person who placed the blocks either did not claim the land or abandoned the claim. It may have been a traveler's shelter.

    2. Claiming the land was fine. A moderator can remove the blocks for you. Just message us in-game using /pm or /msg.

    3. If you want a private chest, attach a sign. Otherwise, I believe that anyone you trust to build on your claim can open chests that do not have signs.

We have two locking systems on The Sandlot. I think Easy uses lockette. Using the lockette system, whoever places the sign on the chest will create a private chest with his/her name. Line 1 will say Private and line 2 will say that username. To add another name, the owner types /lockette 3 (username). Then s/he punches the chest. The added username should appear in line 3.

On skyblock, we use the LWC locking system. To add someone to that, you type /cmodify (username) and punch the chest.
