Difficulties in 1.8

Our families have 3 accounts on SL. Two of the accounts run on macs and have encountered no difficulties since 1.8, however our other account (on Windows 7) has become unusable since the change: my daughter logs on and is essentially frozen. She can see the scrolling text messages but cannot move and is soon logged off for AFK. We have updated Java, reinstalled MC and disabled resource packs but the situation remains. Single player play is fine and MP on other servers is fine too- it's only Sandlot that causes this freezing- any ideas?

 

Hmmm... I really don't know.... try using 1.7.10 or 1.8.1 In 1.7.10 try is it it works. On 1.8.1 they fixed some bugs so try that one too..... Oh and can you talk?

 

What world is she logging in to -- if you can tell which one. Semi-Vanilla Survival (svs) and Easy are restricted to 1.8+ only, but I would think she would be kicked out of that world if she was logging in with the wrong version, instead of being kicked off the server completely.

If she is logging into Creative, she might have been denied from a plot, so she could be frozen in the continual lag loop caused by being denied at the edge of a plot.

And then I'm sure a moderator would be willing to come and pull her out if they see her online and she's still stuck.

She is trying to log on to Easy. I was able to log as her in on my computer (a mac) without any problem however. I was also to log on to Parkour and the Lobby as her on her computer but as soon as she logs on to Easy- instant freeze. I'd suspect her computer more if she was having problems on other servers but alas, it's only Sandlot (her favorite!) that seems to have this issue.

 

Try to use 1.8.1 That fixed some bugs....

 

Tried both 1.8 and 1.8.1- no luck! Thanks for the suggestion though.

 

The only thing I can think of is that she is stuck in a block somewhere in Easy, if it is booting her to the lobby and not off the entire server. I think the best fix would be to log in as you on your computer, find a moderator, and explain the situation. Then you can log her in on the windows computer, and a moderator can teleport her out if that's the problem.
