You go to forums, then click a section, then click 'Create Thread'. Make sure the thread goes along with the topic.
Click 'Forums' once you click it, it will take you to a page where all the posts are. There are topics for certain posts, lets say your topic was about cows, you would put them in 'Non-Minecraft Discussion.' Then click the topic and click 'Post New Thread' at the top right/left part of the page, then create your thread with the name of it, the description/what you wanna write, and then tags.
The way you made this thread is the same except you probably used the get help link most likely instead of forums link then click the topic you want.
