   I've been playing for a while on the semi-vanilla server but don't know how to rank up. I checked the faqs and the first few pages of help but didn't see anything about it.

   In the SVS spawn house, go up the ladder to the upper deck.
   
   You will see signs that list the requirements to rank up. You earn the money by selling your gold to the bank down the hill. When you have the needed money, xp, and item(s), then you click on the sign.
