If you have not already migrated your Mojang account to a Microsoft account, you must do so by March 10, 2022 to be able to continue playing Minecraft. Also, if you want the free cape, this must be done before March 10, 2022. I have read a lot of posts online with people having problems with their migration, so please don't wait until the last minute if you haven't already done this. Definitely need to plan carefully when you do this. Follow the steps. I had to set up one new Microsoft account with a new email to complete the change for my alt account. And of course it’s never fast. Good luck!
It has been released but support for the current one is still going. I don't suggest getting it. I don't think it's any different. A lot of people have complained about the bugs
New launcher is buggy- a friend of mine was having lots of trouble with it. Can I link to the old launcher download?

I had to reinstall a couple times but the new one works for me. I deleted the old one so I wouldn’t accidentally try to use it. They didn’t play well together.
