For those of you who are somewhat new to The Sandlot, you might not have heard about the Elder rank. If you see someone with a blue star (*) next to their name, they are an Elder. This means that they possess the following qualities: A longtime community member of The Sandlot. A great builder. A high technical proficiency of Minecraft game mechanics. A person who contributes to discussions on the forums with great feeback on the pros and cons of potential changes or decisions that The Sandlot goes through as the community grows. Many of you have been wondering if the Elders rank could still be obtained. At one point, cheracc suggested there might possibly be an application process that allowed you to audition for the rank of Elder. The moderator team has decided not to go this route, and just continue to be on the lookout for players who meet the criteria above. After months of nominations and deliberations, these individuals listed below have been deemed worthy of the Elder rank. I am honored to be included in such a list of kind and talented players...at first I thought there must be some mistake I will try to live up to the expectations of this noble rank, but please don't expect my typing skills in chat to improve
I have to echo MJ's sentiments here. I am delighted to be in the company of this group of players. I see many of my Skyblock companions whose work I have admired and emulated. And I see players who generously give their time to explain game mechanics and improve others' Minecraft experience.
The helper rank is given to someone who helps out with the community and is active on the fourms and in-game, there is no set way to get it, but is the mods see you helping, they may choose to give you the helper rank. Also, congrats to all the new elders!
