So I've searched the Forums for this topic but haven't been able to find anything. Sorry if this question has already been posted and answered. I know that we are not allowed to share personal information and as a parent, I 100% agree and love that this is a rule. My son has made some friends on the server that he would love to meet in real life one day. Is there any way that I as the parent can find a way to contact the parent of another member and ask if something like this would be possible?
Rule 1: Be Safe includes to not share any outside contact information with anybody you meet on The Sandlot. This is primarily due to the fact that we cannot truly know what people are like in real life and even if people "seem" to be fine around here, loosening this restriction on the server can seriously jeopardize the social and physical well-being of our players. Even in the case of parental information, we ultimately would not be able to fully confirm if messages would be facilitated through the parents. In order to facilitate best practices, we would not allow this sharing of contact information. I myself have made tons of friends on this server as I have been a Sandlot member for nearly a decade. I can tell you that I have experienced many ups and downs with friendships on here and that even within the bounds of Sandlot I have had friends who ended up facilitating lies/betrayal to myself and some of my peers. Sometimes, it's difficult to know exactly who you can trust, even when providing a safe space for players of all ages to interact. I am very happy that your son has made friends on here and I myself have thoroughly enjoyed many friendships through The Sandlot. However, for the safety reasons listed above, we cannot facilitate the exchange of contact information, even through supposed parents. I hope your son continues to enjoy our server.
