Hello My son left his game on the pause menu, and when he came back there was a message saying he had been 'kicked for idling for more than 10 minutes'. When he logged back on he was in a model of Hogwart's Great Hall with no items and unable to go /home. Please can somebody tell me what has happened so I can explain it to him (what does 'kicked' mean?) to avoid it happening again, and tell me how he can get his items and home back. Many thanks.
The Hogwarts thing is the lobby and if you are afk (away from keyboard) You get kicked and moved to the lobby. It's not anything to worry about
So what happend is he went afk for more then 10 min so he was moved to lobby. But he was still afk in the lobby for 10 min so he was kicked. Kicked is moved off the server but you can come back it is not like a ban. He can go back on and goto the sign of the world he was in and go back there he will have his items.
I'm assuming your son was in Semi-Vanilla or Easy survival. He went AFK (away from keyboard) for longer than 10 minutes. (If you are VIP you won't get kicked for this) A kick is basically to have the player leave the server. This won't affect any records or anything. When your son got back, he was teleported to the server's lobby. If he was in Semi-Vanilla or Easy survival, have your son look for the sign to it, and right-click it. Hope this helps!
