my isp is blocking port 25565, is there anyway for me to play

    so i can't connect to any minecraft servers, bc my ISP is blocking the port.

    anyone know of a work around?

    TOR and a VPN. Contact the iso. Or, 60 days after the FCC's new rules are published on the federal registry, file a complaint. You could also contact the ISP, but chances of that working are slim. That really is to bad though; hopefully you'll find some way to fix it. Any chance you can name and shame? I'm always curious when it comes to ISP misbehavior.

    so thats one thing i wondered - is an ISP allowed to do that? sounds like they aren't.

    Under the new rules the commission voted on, no. At least I don't think so. I haven't actually read them. Those rules won't go into effect for a while and as soon as they do, cable trade associations will challenge them, and probably file for an injunction. So you're looking at years before any kind of enforcement action.
