Hullo Folks! I changed my microsoft account name a couple hours ago, and the minecraft launcher now reflects that. However, I would like to update my forums name, and my In-Game name. How do I do that? Pweez Hewp Meee! =P
It should change within 24hours. Usually faster. Log in, maybe stop in adventure to hit all the potential points. The kids change pretty quick so there is hope.
As a side note: changing the bedrock/microsoft name is not the same as changing the java username. Java is free, the other not so much.
Thankyou KriskKat. Bellstar looked into it for me earlier and such, and gave the same advice. I'll keep an eye on it. =)
Note that your current forums name must already be linked to your Minecraft name for it to update to any new name changes. There are some players who registered before that was a requirement, and it requires us to manually link it. If you don't see your name change after going to the lobby (you might have to log out of the forums and back in to see the change), then let us know and we'll investigate further.
Hi there. As of your last connection to the Sandlot, your Java username hadn't changed. Usually, it takes effect immediately for subsequent connections. For any of those out there perhaps in the same situation, use Waseric's link from his post above, then the link within under the heading, "How do I find my different account names?" And sign in and it takes you straight to your minecraft username entry.
