Newbie: Can not start building...

    Hi there,

    my son is new to The Sandlot. He had a good look around today and was really impressed. He got a year or two of Minecraft experience already, but:

    He was not able to start building in the Creative world (or any other for that matter) and started to get pretty frustrated. I guess we are overlooking something obvious, but maybe somebody could give a hand.

    - He found an unowned plot (at least no message)
    - He tried to mark it with the golden shovel
    - But trying to build gives "You are lacking the permission node: plots.admin.interact.unowned"

    In Creative he should use the command /plot claim to claim an unowned plot that he likes.

    Or, he can use /plot auto and the computer will claim one.

    Then he should use /plot set home to create a home warp locations and be able to use /plot home to return there.

    We use the golden shovel to make a claim in survival servers: Easy, Semi-Vanilla, and Ultra Hardcore. When he is ready to make a claim in one of those areas, we can have a helper assist.

    Each world works a bit differently. For creative try out these commands:
    /plot help Displays help text for all the available plot commands.
    /plot claim Claim the plot you're standing in.
    /plot auto Claim the next free plot.
    /plot home (#) Teleports you to your plot. # if multiple plots. Examples: /plot home will take you to your first plot. /plot home 2 will take you to your second plot.
    /plot info Displays info on the plot you're standing on (The plot ID, owner, biome, helpers, trusted, flags).

    That was quick, thanks. With your help he was able to auto claim a plot. One (two) more thing(s) (TM):

    - On his plot there is already a nice house and stable, but wasn't owned by anyone. Is he allowed do destroy the builds on this plot now?
    - He can not claim more plots ("You are not allowed...")

    Anyway he is a lot happier now but still has to go to bed. ;-)

    1. The previous owner may have abandoned that plot and didn't delete the build. So I guess you can destroy it.
    2. Unless he's a V.I.P., he can only claim one plot.

    The command /plot clear should restore the plot to a grass floor.
