Can you please help? I'm trying to set up The Sandlot for my son and when I follow the instructions to connect to the server, I get an error message that says, "Failed to Connect to the server. Outdated server." I've tried several times and keep getting the same message. I also tried to connect using the direct IP address and no luck there either. Am I doing something wrong?
It's 1.9 the reason it's not working sandlot is built for 1.8.9 there won't be 1.9 support for a while...
You have to "downgrade" the load of Minecraft. When the loading screen comes up, rather than the default "Use 1.9.0" or " you need to change the setting to use 1.8.9. See the post by "C0wg0d", the site Admin, in Announcements, about Minecraft 1.9, "Outdated Server", and the future of the Sandlot, please.
You need to change your version from 1.9 to 1.8.9, you can do this by going into your launcher > Edit Profile, in the drop down "Use Version" tab click "Release 1.8.9", then "Save Profile", and then "Play".
