hi, the boy talked me into setting up an account for him and it worked for a bit, now when logging in, the screen sticks at "logging in....." have searched forums and tried all recommendations have tried different launchers, new download of 1.7.9 resets / reinstalls ! net connection is up and ok - can see the number of users on server going up and down, so assume others are getting in ok. java console doesnt give any info other than: [2158] [Client thread/INFO]: Connecting to server.sandlotminecraft.com, 25565 is there anymore i can do or debug? hope someone can help, or recommend father son support group! cheers angry dad
I'm sorry this is happening I assume you tried logging out and back in. From what you said you seem to have tried everything. This has happened to me befor and all I had to do was log out and in afew times or wait a day for it to open because of lag. Edit: you can also try completely logging out of your computer some time that helps me when I can't loggin I'm sorry if I could not help but I hope your son can play again soon!
word bobandbunny! I'm banging my head on wall now tried all sorts, even older versions - when I try 1.6.4, it tells me outdated client, so there must be a handshake going on. as soon as use 1.7.9 - just sticks "logging in....." pinging server gives about 138ms round trip - is this long? when try google get 19ms I'm on virgin media - anyone else on this ISP?
anyone know about ping timings! so, just picked up an open MC server address and got straight in - pinged it and it is average 20ms.... my pings to sandlot are > 130ms is this culprit & if so what can i do!
