I'm confused by the VIP system - I'm trying to get VIP for another player (my son), and it's unclear how this works. Presumably if it is his first time I need to pay the $15 rate first month, which is fine - but how do I specify his username? Yesterday I looked at the process and it asked for a username, but today when I came to repeat it - it is not - so how would I know which account the VIP would apply to?
I believe you need to set up a forums account for him, and input his username through that. I'm not sure about this, but Cheracc did say he was removing the VIP packages for multiple users.
I wonder if your session information/username is still saved on the store page from yesterday. Have you tried restarting your browser?
It must be something like the session information (or does the site use cookies?). Restarting the browser did not help, nor did logging out and in again, nor both in combination. However on switching browser, I managed to get him VIP, without logging into Forums. On returning to my primary browser, I couldn't see how I could renew mine with my username, but I got the option to supply a username again on logging out (apparently no need to login at any stage to get VIP?). I could experiment a little more if it helped. Thanks for giving me a pointer to how to work around the issue.
(At least I assume I got it for him, as I entered his name, it's not actually come through in game yet)
