Ok, so I thought VIP was an auto-renewal based on comments from others on the forum. However mine expired and I got the in-game message in SVS I could only set one home. I looked on VIP page and there no was info on the renewal process. So, I just renewed and there is no option to subscribe or select a one time VIP payment. Am I missing something? Also, If your VIP lapses, is there a grace period where your 3 set-homes will be saved? If so, how long? Thanks! MJ
MJR, as I understand it you keep your set three homes but cannot set new ones. No one has explained how that works with trying to reset a home of the three... I too couldn't find an auto option.
If you get VIP, select your option, and click buy, a screen will come up explaining what it does with the options "add to cart" and "subscribe". If you click add to cart, you will pay once and then it will run out. If you press subscribe, it will replenish and charge you every time you loose it until it is cancelled. If you loose VIP, you will still have as many plots as you've claimed, and you still have the set homes but if you delete your third one, you can not add it back or change it.
Thanks Bob - I understand now, but you have to know the difference beforehand. Last time I must have added to cart, because it did not renew. This time I hit subscribe, so I'll have to report back in three months
@bobandbunny got it exactly right. Also, I just resolved a long standing bug that I didn't realize was happening with VIP subscriptions, so the process should be fully automatic for both adding and removing your VIP status. Also, the change I made to refresh permissions across servers every 15 minutes seems to be working great, so when you purchase VIP you should get it immediately in the lobby and on all other servers in 15 minutes or less. Thank you to everyone that has ever purchased VIP--we couldn't have The Sandlot without you!
