What's with the other dimension?

My sons and I went to log into the game. We got the "Hogwart's Lobby" welcome message, but we were in some pitch black empty place with no sounds and clouds way above. This is strange, as I wasn't in Hogwart's when I disconnected, but was on my claim on Easy. In this place, we can't move. When we try to use a wand, we see the characters' arms move but nothing else happens. After a very short time, we're timed out and disconnected.

What's up???

We keep crashing...

 

We get online, then get booted. I actually logged in inside a block. I dug up and was in Hogwart's Lobby, but everything was frozen. Then I timed out again. The next time I was falling through space. I was able to direct my fall and fall into a chasm with lava, water and some iron, but I still had my Hogwart's wand and guides. I had no equipment, but was able to punch a couple cobblestone blocks and climb around a bit. There was nowhere to go, however. After about five minutes, I timed out again, despite being active.

That's not a weak connection. We have a good, high speed cable broadband connection to the internet. I can play other games and watch videos with no problem. It's ONLY our spawn-in point and interface with Sandlot which is bugged.

Well, the problem fixed itself. We're logging in fine now. I'm still missing 54 bronze knuts from the Lobby, but since I never do anything in the Lobby, it's no biggie.

The knuts are no biggie. I don't play on the Lobby anyway. At least I got to see some of the caverns under Hogwart's. It was very strange, though. It was just like being in spectator mode, but we couldn't fly. Then, when we DID enter an open area, by directing our fall into a cavern, we went "solid" again and could move around normally in survival mode. Idling out after just a couple minutes was strange as well, even though we were moving around and staying active.

this happens to me sometimes but only for a few seconds while the chunks are loading in

 

sometimes it depends on the Wifi ur using =P

 

I sometimes have issues similar to this in the lobby. 30+ seconds of unresponsiveness, usually slowly falling through blocks as though they are transparent. My internet connection is not the best (why, oh why, do ISPs have exclusive rights to their networks), but I never have similar issues with other games or other servers on the Sandlot.
