I recently decided to join the server through my bedrock account. When trying to whitelist, it’s showing that my name is already registered to an account. My Java username and xbox gamer tag are not the same so I can only assume that somehow someone else has a Java name that matches my xbox gamer tag. Is there anyway to get my account whitelisted without having to go in and change my gamer tag?
Hi! First off are you wanting to link your Java account with your Xbox account for the server? From what I’m trying to understand is that your Xbox account is already linked to a different account am I getting this correct?
I'm wanting to be whitelisted on Bedrock. My Java and Bedrock accounts are under different usernames. When I try to fill out a whitelist form it shows that my name (as in my xbox gamertag for bedrock) is already in use. I'm assuming that must be because there is a Java account with the same name that has already been whitelisted since I don't think any two people can have the same gamertag.
What is the bedrock account name you own? You may need to change the name slightly... add a number or change a letter to a number or something like that. You can check usernames for both types of accounts at https://mcprofile.io/ . Hopefully it will help you decide how to proceed. Also, you should have a new website account for the other username, with another email address, to do the whitelist. The two accounts can be merged into one account on the website with help from a mod, if you wish.
Yea unfortunately someone might already have it linked and they could have probably changed their gamertag or something. I would also make sure you have correctly entered your name within the link command.
