The Sandlot - A Family-Friendly Minecraft Community

I am so proud to announce that our very own @hamsrus1 has built a new HG map for us! It will be a featured map for the rest of today (the only one in rotation) on HG1 and HG2. Thank you hams, and great job!

This maintenance is not going to be fun, and it is going to require a lot of patience, understanding, and commitment from all of you. I am likely not going to be my cheery c0w self, and might not even be chatting much, because my eyes will be on the log files.

I am desperately eager to determine the cause of the Proxy kicks that keep happening to everyone. I know I am not the only one being affected by this, and I am very sorry that it's happening. In fact, it appears that there are an average of 10,000 proxy kicks every day. This is unacceptable, and I am glad that I finally have time to dedicate an attempt to fix this issue.

Hi everyone!

I am learning more and more about our chat system every day, and I feel like we have a nearly perfect system now. It still has a couple hiccups that I believe I can resolve, but for the most part, our new chat system is now on par with our old one, and has some very nice improvements and features that were not possible with the old system.

Consistent Player Designations/Tab List Changes

The in game chat and the tab list now show the same formatting for helper, elder, and VIP stars. I have moved helper stars to the prefix (left) of names to make it easier to find them on the tab list, and VIP and elder stars are now in the suffix (right).

The tab list has been updated to show the server you are currently playing on directly after the "Moderators" section, and also showing many more players than before where it would truncate the list at about 10 players. I have also updated the tab list in all HungerGames servers to show the individual player...

I've been wanting to do this for a long time, and I finally did! I present to you: Sandlot T-Shirts!




These are now posted up for sale on The Sandlot store (store.sandlotminecraft.com). You can find them under the "Merchandise" tab.

As this is the first time doing this, this is a limited run of shirts. When they are gone, they are gone! It's likely that any future shirts (if this goes well and I do it again) will look different, so if you want one of these, grab it while you can! When each size runs out, it's gone.

Shirts are $19 each, which includes shipping to anywhere in the U.S. If you live outside the U.S., you can still purchase one, but shipping is expensive so it will cost an extra $15 to ship (up to three shirts).

Goodie Bags in the Lobby

I don't know many kids (or adults, for that matter) that don't love candy. Be sure to explore all around the lobby for Goodie Bags! You will know you found one when you see a sign that reads "You found a goodie bag!" Right click the sign to get candy! You can get candy from every sign you find once per hour.

Candy!

Once you find enough candy, you can visit the CandyMan in Diagon Alley (inside the shop to the left of the bank, it's orange and purple). He is looking for as much candy as he can get his hands on! He has an even bigger sweet tooth than me... You can trade your candy in to get Gold Galleons, which you can use to buy wands or...
