Parkour has been updated to Minecraft 1.8! You should have all your inventory items and enderchest items still. Leaderboards have been reset for all courses, so go get first place before Armorboy99 gets there!

Also, now you can build your courses using the new 1.8 blocks! I expect to see some slime block trampolines!

Hi everyone!

I have created a new Parkour 1.8 test server. There is a join sign for it on the back of Blokjekopf's statue in the lobby.

Please test it out and let me know if you find any bugs. You can report back in this thread instead of making bug reports.

Once the Parkour 1.8 server is live, we can start adding courses that use the new 1.8 blocks. And of course, that means there better be some slime block trampolines!

I'm proud to announce that Skyblock has now been fully updated to support Minecraft 1.8!

Your island should be exactly as you left it--no map reset required! There are a couple of important changes that you need to be aware of.

If you don't have enough inventory space for your challenge rewards when completing a challenge, the items will no longer be lost, but will instead fall on the ground at your feet. Be careful not to turn in challenges near your cobble generator!

Creeper damage is currently on, but will only cause damage if the creeper was targeting you or one of your island party members, and it was on your island. Based on the poll we had, most players didn't want this, but I was tired (it's 2 am) and couldn't figure out how to turn off the explosions... I'll try and fix it later, but for now just tread lightly around creepers.

Protecting chests via Lockette no longer works (the private signs on chests). Skyblock now uses LWC, the same plugin used to protect...

Mojang is performing scheduled maintenance on Monday, April 13th. All their servers will be down approximately 11pm to 3am MST.

I am unsure exactly what that means for Sandlot, but there's a pretty good chance you won't be able to play Minecraft on any servers during that time. If you connect to Sandlot before they turn the servers off, you can probably continue to play during the maintenance, but if you disconnect, you will most likely not be able to reconnect.

Beginning at approximately 10pm Arizona time and extending until about 2am the following morning, all servers will be unavailable while updates are performed.

The entire server will be unavailable. The maintenance will consist of security updates for the underlying OS and a new permissions system for all servers. This is a substantial update and there are likely to be residual permissions problems after the updates are completed. Please bear with us as these are worked out.

Hi everyone! It's 4 am and I need some sleep.

I have created a Skyblock Minecraft 1.8 test server. There is a very good chance I messed some things up. This is where you come in. Please go to the lobby and head upstairs to cheracc's statue. Behind the statue, you will see a SkyB Test sign. Right click it and you will be transported to the magical new Skyblock test server.

As you will see from the giant wall of text that greets you as you join, nothing you do on that server will be permanent. I repeat, NOTHING you do on this server will transfer back to the real, original Skyblock server. It is for TESTING ONLY. Try to complete challenges and see if you get rewards, currency and xp properly. Join other islands. Restart your own island. Try to grief spawn. Try to grief other people's islands. Use spawn eggs. Buy stuff at spawn and see if it works. Check out the beacons at Razz and Indrichi's islands and see if you are getting their effects. Try potions. Try to...

I would like to welcome c0wg0d as he takes his position as Sandlot Administrator.

c0wg0d will be taking over the "back end" server stuff - updating and configuring plugins, fixing bugs - the really technical work. He has a strong background in this area, and I'm confident that he will do amazing things for the server - probably way more than I would ever be capable of doing myself.

He has already fixed several issues and is really excited about his new role.

Please join me in welcoming him to his new position. Try not to overwhelm him too much with questions (though maybe he would want to do an "AMA" thread )

Recent Changes:

• Several plugin updates to help support 1.8 clients. This should reduce or eliminate crashes some players were experiencing when trying to connect with 1.8 clients.
• Several 1.8 blocks are now available for use on the Semi-Vanilla, Creative, and Easy servers. You must now be running a 1.8 client to connect to these servers. (More information below)
• Several updates to help support name changes - when they are able to be supported (more information below)

1.8 Block Compatibility:

Many, if not most, 1.8 blocks are now available on the Semi-Vanilla, Creative, and Easy Survival servers. The following features/blocks are currently NOT available and will not work:

• 1.8 Enchanting/Anvil mechanics
• Armor stands
• Banners
• Natural spawning of new mobs
• New potions
• New potion brewing recipes
• New structures
• Slime blocks will not move other blocks

There's been a lot of suggestions and requests in the past on things you would like to see on our website. I've tried to incorporate as many of those as possible in this new format. Almost everything you are used to having is here somewhere, plus lots and lots of new features.

Major Changes
