Yes, actually. This is an accepted raiding style-live on the run, and raid unprotected bases you find. Actually works pretty well.
Yes. the world is going to be kept rather small to keep PvP happening. It's currently set at 2000x2000 blocks.
You could also make your own faction (after the intro event) with only you as a member so that you can at least protect a base. But yes, faction-less players can attack anyone, while factioned players cannot attack teammates.
This was answered in the original post. You get 10 tokens which is enough for a full set of armor and a sword, or a full set of armor and a bow with 32 arrows. If you die, you get 10 more tokens, but only once every hour.

Are bases allowed to be built underground? Are there any visible above-ground markers as to whose land is whose? Say, if the Haxians' base is underground and the land above appears untouched, would there be a way for a player to know at a glance if that land is the Haxians'? When you say chunk, do we get from y0 to y256?
