HARD TEAMS WILL RETURN THIS JULY! Since everyone seemed to have fun with this last year and again during the holidays, we're bringing Hard Teams back this July! If you want to play on the Hard Server Teams event in July, please post a reply to this message with your minecraft name. You may also include the names of your family or friends who want to be on the same team together. You can also post on behalf of other players in game who do not use the forums (as long as they requested it). As you may know, things in Hard change all the time and Hard Teams is no exception. This month we will be trying something new, and the theme will be ADVENTURE! We encourage all of you to try what I believe is THE most fun thing in Minecraft: grab some friends and get out there and have adventures! Explore the mountains, the oceans (the monuments!), the jungles (yay jungles!) find animals and shipwrecks and caverns - and actually fight monsters that are NOT locked in a cage! I know some of you are Bilbo Baggins types who want to sit home by your cozy fire and just eat, drink, and decorate but even the Bagginses went on an adventure at least one time... and what a time it was! Call me Gandalf. Yes, you CAN just stay home in the Shire the whole month, and SOMEONE should probably build a home to come back to, but if you ever want to try adventuring together with friends this is YOUR time! I want to play! But differently. This time I swear I will venture outside my comfort zone and fight things not in cages and die a lot. Like, a LOT. It will bring trubuhl joy, and it also means I need to be on a team with the other dyers. (This is code for "put me on a team with Lego and JamPastry.") p.s. don't put me as a captain this time trubs! I am doing lots of other things also outside my comfort zone and it is time consuming.
I think I'm in? Except I'm a hobbit through and through, and I'm not so sure about this idea of adventuring in a hard world...
If this helps, I think there may be a few adjustments to both reward adventuring and also penalize it less. I believe it will be sort of vanilla in many way but there's always something.
