logging in to minecraft- user and password not working?

    Not that this is your issue, but everyone be aware that if you ever use a 'Hacked Client" Which is basically a client software "someone" has written, they can collect your login info when you log in and later take your account. (Besides these hacked clients are only really used for cheating and if you get caught doing that on the Sandlot you will be banned.

    You should never log into a client other then Mojang MC or you could be giving away your account!

    I have never heard of any problems like this with Optifine. That said, if you use a bad Forge, the developer could possibly get your login info, but I have not looked at that code or how Forge is implemented so I am not sure on that.

    If someone has your password and changed your info, you need to go to Mojang to try and get control of the account again.

    Have you checked your email? The one that you signed up for minecraft with.
    It's possible that Mojang have reset your password if they suspected your account had been hacked. If so they would have sent you an email with a link to make a new password. I know someone this happened to recently.

    Try to reset you password, or did that not work?

    So you can't log into the sandlot or your account at all?

    this has happened to me before as well. I thinks its jst a mojang restart or something mojang will do for like 5 mins. If it does happen just wait like 10 min and your account will be working again

    do you use any texture packs? if so, go to your minecraft folder, recourse packs, and see if there are any large recourse packs in there
