You could try the fix I used by completing the following steps. (refer to the pictures if needed) NOTE: (I am not a java programmer, I just did a little research and found this simple tweak in the code doubled the memory) 1. In the launcher, click Edit Profile. Spoiler: Help 1 Oh nice... I got a bit of the snip setting fading in that picture... 2. In the profile Editor dialogue box, check the JVM Arguments checkbox 3. At the end of the code, change the numbers after the -Xmn to a number twice as big. Use the pictures provided as an example. (Assuming your computer has enough memory to handle this. If it doesn't, the game will just crash anyway. Your computer will not take any damage if this method fails.) Spoiler: Help 2 For Example, Change it from this to something like this . 4. Click Save Profile. 5. Start Minecraft. Your game should now be allocated twice as much memory as you had before. If it doesn't work, try deleting your profile and creating a new one. sometimes that helps. And even though I did this on windows, the process is the same on a Mac or a Linux OS.
