Hello, We just joined sandlot. For about 10 minutes, everything was great. Then, we transported to creative and it worked well for about 1 minute, then everything gummed up. Response from the server was super slow. Really could not do anything. I changed the video settings to "fast" and no help. I rebooted the computer and tried it on another computer. I tried 1.7.2 and 1.7.9. Always the same. Any ideas on why it is acting like this? I searched the forums and could not find much help. I checked my internet connection and it is 30mb per second download and 6 mb per second upload. I shut down the firewall and any other running programs. Still the same, really slow movement. I was able to maybe make one move every 8 seconds. Very choppy. Thanks for your help.
I'm going to run through possibilities: Well we can rule out the server itself: http://aikar.co/timings.php?url=7880398 (that shows an average TPS of 19.95 - max is 20) so it isn't server side. It is possible that you ran into an area that is overloaded with entities, but that seems unlikely with only 200 or so loaded. There could be a slow 'jump' between you and the server. This could be ruled out by doing a traceroute: http://blog.iweb.com/en/2009/09/how-to- ... /3111.html A corrupted chunk is always possible. Could you log in and post coordinates here so that I can investigate?
i really dont know i used to experience lots of and lots of lag now not much at all i think its something with your memory i could be wrong.

Oh! That's why the server's down... Our server staff is probably fixing any bugs with the new lobby event, or they're taking it down. Let's just cross our fingers that it's the first one, because I personally think that was a great idea...
