Hello, it has been 4 or 5 years since my son and I have been on the platform. I was excited to see that he can now play from his PS4 but I am having problems getting him set up. I tried walking through both ways shown in the PlayStation thread but neither worked for us. It does not show the same options as pictured or described. For some reason when he is on he is able to add friends but there is nothing about cross platform and I am not able to find where I can add the server either. If anyone knows the issue I may be running into I would greatly appreciate the assistance.
Were you playing on Bedrock version before? or Java? The playstation would be using Bedrock version; if you don't have your username there whitelisted, you'll need to apply for that as another account here. So new website account + new email or +mail account, sign in, sign up. Be sure to know if the usernames are the same, as it works better if they are slightly different (like change an i to a 1, or any letter to a similar number, add another letter/number.) The playstation help thread here may be a touch old by now, so perhaps there are updates to the look. I'll leave those details to players who might know (I only have xbox and java). So It seems we may be connected because some of the servers that are popping up on there we try to connect to and it says that we are not whitelisted on Sandlot so there is hope. However, there is nowhere for me to enter the server info on the PlayStation so I am thrown off by it all. Been trying for a couple hours and I give up for the night. The odd thing is that when we get that message about not being whitelisted for Sandlot, nothing about what we were trying to connect to said it was Sandlot. Either way, hopefully me submitting the form fixes it and he can access the whole server. It was things like Bed Wars etc. Nothing on our screen looked like what was in the Play Station post for connecting. Thank you!
Another thing, it takes a minute on bedrock. When I tried getting my switch account whitelisted, even though I got whitelisted it still took a while before I was able to join
