Welcome to the Sandlot!

My kids and I actually *found* the Sandlot via DIY. Both my kids used to be very active on DIY, and are hoping to return soon (I believe sharing DIY usernames would be against Sandlot rules, so will not share that).

Almost a year ago, the DIY mods said they were planning to start a Minecraft server. My kids and I had never played Minecraft before and it sounded interesting (plus, the fact that DIY supported Minecraft was enough to make me look into it.)

Well, I Google'd a little bit, and found a reddit post where the DIY mods asked for advice on how to run a kid-friendly server, and there was a HUGE and helpful reply by someone called "sandlot-mc" (I assume cheracc!). It was such a well thought-out post that I thought I really should check out Sandlot, in addition to the brand new (and now gone) DIY Minecraft Server, and it was very clear that cheracc and the other mods / admins here really put a huge amount of work into making a quality kid- and family-friendly Minecraft server.

So, sorry to blather on, but… I think DIY is awesome. I also think Sandlot is awesome. And it's great to hear that some DIY'ers might find themselves here!

welcome and i agree you will like it here. It is the best one ever.I know pvp isn't really family freindly but it is now! We made some changes go ahead and read the rules.
