The Sandlot - A Family-Friendly Minecraft Community

To celebrate The Sandlot's 10th anniversary, we have new merchandise! We have youth and adult t-shirts in 3 colors, a hat, a poster, and stickers!

We use a third party printing and distribution service that can ship anywhere in the world. If you order within the next week, you should get your shipment before the holidays.

To play a specific version of Minecraft, please follow these steps to create a new installation profile in your Minecraft Launcher.

First, open the Minecraft Launcher. Make sure Minecraft: Java Edition is selected on the left side.



Click Installations at the top.



Click the New installation button.



Change the Furnace icon if you would like.

For Name, put in the version you would like to play. This can be anything you want. For this example, we will use 1.17.1.

For Version, select the version you would like to play. There are 3 main types of releases: release, snapshot, and old alpha. For The Sandlot, you will always use a release version, meaning the version starts with the word "release." For this example, we will use release 1.17.1.

You can ignore the Game Directory option.

It could be art of you and your friends on the server, funny or iconic moments, builds on the server, skins, etc.

Hello everyone!

Some of you may have noticed recently that a few players have logged in to The Sandlot with a dot at the beginning of their name. These are Sandlot staff members testing out whether or not The Sandlot can support Minecraft: Bedrock Edition.



I realize this is exciting and you probably have a bajillion questions and are thinking about a ton of new possibilities, but please do not get your hopes up yet. This is merely a test, and we are not saying that we will be supporting Minecraft: Bedrock Edition for certain yet. There are still many unknowns. Below I will try to propose and answer any questions you may have. Please read it thoroughly and if you still have more questions, the moderator team will try our best to answer them.

Please note below that JE means Java Edition and BE means Bedrock Edition.

Why do some players have a dot "." in front of their name?

Most of our servers have now been updated to Minecraft 1.17.1. Please use this version to connect to and play on The Sandlot.

Mojang is requiring everyone to migrate their current Mojang account, the one associated with Minecraft: Java Edition, to a Microsoft account. It is a "slow rollout," meaning they are doing it in batches. You should have seen a message in your Minecraft launcher over the last several weeks about this migration. When it is your turn to migrate, you will get a new message in your launcher, stating you are eligible for migration. It will look like this:



To avoid problems, before clicking on anything, I would recommend that you make absolutely sure you familiarize yourself with Microsoft's accounts. By this, I mean that:

• You might already have a Microsoft account through your work or school
• You might already have a Microsoft account if you play Minecraft: Bedrock Edition
• You might already have a Microsoft account if you play Minecraft: Dungeons
• You might already have a Microsoft account if you have an Xbox

The Sandlot Helper team has prepared an exciting series of challenges and games for the month of August, as summer comes to a close. Head into the Special Events hallway behind the Normal portal. Come join us as we end the summer with a bang!

-ShipEscape Parkour: Avoid the cargo and make your way to the end of a realistic 1700s British Battleship to claim your prize!


-SeaDive Dropper: Fall through the layers of the ocean to find the buried treasure at the bottom… be careful not to disturb the sea creatures!
