We will start our four hour maintenance window at 10pm US Eastern time (EST), and will be back online with the normal restart at 2am. Our IP address is changing. Please restart your Minecraft game any time after the maintenance starts before trying to reconnect. There is nothing else you need to do. Bedrock Edition users who use our "Method 1 - Using custom network settings" to connect: During maintenance, all you need to do is restart minecraft. You will need to change the IP address for your DNS server by January 26. We will update instructions in the next day or two. The new IP address is 15.204.44.34. The old IP address 66.70.181.137 (will stop working on Jan 26). The server is almost identical to what we have now, but with a slightly upgraded CPU and a lower monthly cost! The current/old server is hosted in Beauharnois, Quebec, Canada. The new server is located in Hillsboro, Oregon, USA. I am hoping this doesn't change anyone's network ping to the server too drastically, but it was a deal too good to pass up! The new monthly server cost for The Sandlot is $157.96. You will keep using server.sandlotminecraft.com. This is to make sure that your computer/device will see the new ip address for server.sandlotminecraft.com.
Bwahaha! I live only about 30 miles from Hillsboro, and I used to work there once upon a time. Zero ping Sandlot, now I can finally start my Sandlot PVP career that I've always longed for but never dared to start... JK
I mentioned that to @ladybxg and she suggested that you can take pictures of our new server! Sadly, not quite as easy as that, but it's a fun thought. But I think you'll win for ping now.
You only need to stop and restart minecraft today. On the Switch, if you have set this ... (according to our "Method 1 - using custom network settings") (https://www.sandlotminecraft.com/pages/bedrock-nintendo-switch/) ... then you will need to change 66.70.181.137 to 15.204.44.34 before January 26. You don't need to do it today (but it will work if you do). This (or the DNS settings on other devices) is the only reason you should set Sandlot's IP address (or therefore have to change it). To change or check DNS settings on any Bedrock device, click on the Help link at the top of this page.
